Embry always struck me as an incredibly knowledgeable straight shooter. I recall after the Southwestern debacle he essentially apologized and looked visibly shaken by how something he had recommended had gone so bad. Shortly after that he said he wouldn't be doing the top picks anymore. Sounds like a man with some integrity to me.
On top of that he clearly wanted to talk more about the Kinross/Aurelian situation but time ran out.
Also I talked to someone a few weeks back who said they had a good conversation with John and he was quite unhappy with the bid and would not be tendering his shares. His comments tonight were consistent with that. I have not thrown any bs on this board since day 1 so you can take this for what it is.
