So lets examine the facts...
1. Kinross is not concerned about the mining law nor the politics as they have had numerous discussions with senior government officials.
2. Corriente's CEO has travelled the world and has drummed up several potential buyers some of which have already visited Ecuador and the site.
3. Iamgold, Salazar, International, Dynasty etc have made bullish statements on the mining law.
4. China and India have publicly stated their interest in Ecuador mining on more than 1 occasion.
5. Ivanhoe invests 5 billion in Ecuador to drill for oil. Do you not think that Ivanhoe has done their due dilligence and received legal assurances? That you can take to the bank.
I could go on and on but given the above facts how is it that a Barrick, Newmont, BHP, Goldfields, Vale, XStrata etc etc would not be interested in the greatest gold find in 20 years given their publicly stated depleting reserves.
Not possible in my opinion....this ball game is far from over.
