William Fisher has been in the exploration and mining business for over 26 years. He has worked as a diamond mine geologist through the 1980's in Angola and Guinea. He then explored for diamonds and gemstones in Australia and East Africa. Arriving in Canada in 1993 he conducted exploration programs in the NWT, Ontario, Québec and Mexico. Mr. Fisher co-founded Ambrex Mining Corporation in 1995, which discovered the large scale Aripuaña massive sulphide deposit in Brazil.
Patrick F. N. Anderson has over 13 years experience working in all aspects of the exploration business. After graduating from the University of Toronto geology program he moved to the jungles of southern Venezuela and worked as the resident project geologist on a successful kimberlite exploration program. Since then he has been a consulting geologist on gold, base metals and diamond projects in South America, North America and Europe for junior explorers, major producers and consulting firms to the mineral industry. Mr. Anderson co-founded Aurelian Resources Inc. and was one of the discoverers of the Condor Project. He is also a founder and director of U308 Corp.
Colin K. Benner is a seasoned mining executive, with more than 40 years experience in the international mining industry. He was appointed Vice Chairman and CEO of Skye Resources earlier this month. Previously, Mr. Benner was CEO and Vice Chairman of Lundin Mining Corp., Vice Chairman and CEO of EuroZinc Mining Corp. and President and CEO of Breakwater Resources Ltd. He is a professional mining engineer and a graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines. Mr. Benner serves as a director on a number of other mining company boards, including Lundin Mining Corp., Major Drilling Group International, Inc., Sherwood Copper Corp., PBS Coals, Inc. and Gold Hawk Resources Inc.
Jon A. Douglas has 20 years of financial, commercial and management experience in the mining industry. He joined Northgate Minerals in 2001 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During his career at Northgate, he has overseen the financial transformation of the company from a junior gold mining company to a dual-listed (TSX and AMEX), SOX-404 compliant intermediate gold producer with operating mines in Canada and Australia. Prior to joining Northgate, Mr. Douglas worked for the Noranda Group of companies in the Corporate Development group at Noranda Inc. and on the commercial side of the mining and metals group at Noranda Sales Corporation. Mr. Douglas holds a BASc and an MASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University.
Mr. Gaumond is President and CEO of Virginia Gold Mines, whose discovery of the Eleonore gold deposit in Quebec led to the US$420 million dollar acquisition of the project by Goldcorp in 2005. He sits on the Board of Directors of mining companies Vior and Power Tech as well as on the Board of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). Mr. Gaumond is a member of several professional associations, among them the Quebec Order of Engineers. He is a geological engineer with a master's degree in geological economics.
Joe Hamilton has over 20 years in the mining and investment industries. Prior to joining African Copper Plc as COO, Mr. Hamilton was a Director at RBC Capital Markets and was the Senior Analyst, Global Precious Metals Research based in North America. Mr. Hamilton was involved in mineral exploration in the Americas for 14 years prior to working for RBC Capital and the projects he was involved in covered all aspects of exploration and development including grassroots and generative studies, advanced exploration, reserve delineation and feasibility work.
Thomas Obradovich has over 20 years experience in developing gold, base metal and diamond projects from grass roots to advanced exploration. He has considerable experience in public company financing, property acquisition, mineral exploration, mineral processing, and project management. He is also a co-founder of Canadian Royalties Inc., which is an exploration and royalty company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Recently, Mr. Obradovich reactivated Young-Davidson Mines Limited, consolidating a land package which encompasses the entire Matachewan gold mining camp, and then merged it with Northgate Minerals Inc.
Mr. Rubenstein is Vice President, Corporate Secretary and a Director of Andagan Resource Corporation. In 2001 Mr. Rubenstein was one of the founders of Canico Resources, where he served as Vice President and Corporate Secretary as the company explored its Onça Puma nickel deposit in Brazil. Mr. Rubenstein was instrumental in the 2005 acquisition of Canico by CVRD of Brazil for $940 million. As Vice President, Corporate Affairs for Sutton Resources, he also played a key role in negotiating the $525 million takeover of the company by Barrick Gold Corporation in 1999.
