I can't say for sure, but I get the feeling that in a case like this many of these analysts are just too butt lazy. They call up the various companies involved, or might be involved, get the standard drivel from the IR guys, re-decorate a little and put it out. It's easier than working.
True Investigative reporting in this field seems to be a thing of the past.
Maybe I'm being too harsh, but that is becoming opinion.
