If I was Newmont I would look at where this Kinross bid stands and see what it would cost me to make a better Offer...

KGC closed at $ 16.60 US x .317 = $ 5.26 US

Nem closed @ $ 43.75 US x .15 = $ 6.57

A simple bid like this would only cost Newmont 24.75 Million Shares and if they had to double that they would only have to issue less then 50 Million shares

I figure we have about a week or two before we start hearing the rumors about another offer...
