MINING CONSECIONES [2008-07-10] Minister of Mines and Petróleos, Chiriboga Gaul, signed the regulatory administrative act that establishes the criteria for the application of article 3 of Constituent the Mandate Number 6 with respect to the affectation of births and water sources. The company/signature of this administrative act, that took place during the closing of the Latin American Congress of Hydrology Subterránea and Expoagua, will allow to execute with technical bases the article of the Constituent Mandate that some says that the extinction will be declared, without economic compensation, of the mining concessions that affect to births and water sources. During this company/signature; the Secretary of State emphasized the participation of the citizenship during the Congress of Hydrology since he contributed with essential criteria to define the administrative act that will allow to fulfill article 3 of the Constituent Mandate. In this act minister Galo Chiriboga, also subscribed an agreement of interinstitutional cooperation that unites to this Portfolio of State with the Latin American Association of Underground Hydrology for the Development and the Ecuador Group of the Association the International of Hydrology with the aim of making viable an efficient handling of the hydric resource in the mining activity. This interinstitutional agreement will contribute through technical attendance and specialized consultant's office to identify profiles of necessary projects for an environmental and socially responsible management. Against this background Gallic Chiriboga emphasized the importance of involving to science and the technology in the different processes that the Ministry executes and that consolidates with the contribution of these two associations.
