It's funny how Babel fish translate "Correa": Rafael Strap

That's what a correa is - a strap, or belt. Back when he was campaigning Correa used to carry a belt and slap his hand with it for emphasis when he got to the part about throwing the bums out. It was a popular image for a while. I don't think he does it anymore.

There was another guy, Pillador I think, whose name translates as looter, and the current president of the assembly, Cordero, translates as lamb.

Neither google nor babel does any serious context checking, which is why you get these weird translations.
