Soaring Oil again today complete with downgrades re: the likes of Ford, G.M. dismay with Bank giant Citigroup and other U.S. Banks plus huge job cuts on Wall Street created mayhem.

At home in Toronto, we had downgrades in the Financial sector along with disappointing earnings from Research in Motion as their stock price dropped $18.86 closing at $125.86.

Yet with Gold we had a nice upswing as a few noted below:

AEM-T $71.82 up 7.6%

ABX-T $43.46 up 6.5%

G-T $44.85 up 6.6%

YRI-T 15.85 up 7.0%

DGC-T $22.21 up 10.9%

RBI-T $8.80 up 6.8%

ER-T $1.54 up 12.4%
