- Why is a May 12 article being posted here now?
- Given that no one seems to think that a back to work order will be part of the June 27 release, apparently no one thinks it will happen until the August time period at best. In light of some companies continuing to employ folks in Ecuador, does it not behoove Correa to issue a temporary back to work order between June 27 and August as an acknowlegdment of the fact that these companies voluntarily ceased operations (excepting Corriente which has been suspended for 18 months now) as a courtesy and bow to Correa? I don't get it. Long summer ahead if something like this does not take place
I went over the websites of every junior explorer I could find that was working in Ecuador. Some are now looking for projects in Peru, Mexico, Canada etc., or like CGP, have already moved to other projects they had as back-up. Even stubborn old Ascendant is shifting its focus to Quebec. So, will they be back? And if so, how long will it take to line up drill crews and equipment?
Anecdote from a friend in the diamond drill trade, working in Mexico. He says the quality of people he's getting is very low. Can't follow instructions, much damage and lost holes. Very costly if you're a small operation. Hard to attract good people now if you can't pay top dollar.
"Transnational Corporations"...LOL! Most of these companies only had a few million to begin with. Can you even take your story to the market now if it's got Ecuador in the title? I don't know the answer to that, but I guess we'll soon find out.
