When we were first thown into this fiasco there was 1 big protest in front of Correa about the lost mining jobs. They were promised temporary road building jobs while the mining law was developed. I seriously doubt this has happened but yet there have been no protests in the last month. The Ecuadorians protest everything so this is a little curious.
My hope is that they were so convinced that this hiatus is very temporary and have promised to put their protesting placards back in the closet for now. The last thing Correa needs is more mass protests in front of his palace.
