What should we look for in the next little while????

Well so far we've had the WTF tax, which came out of the revenue dept., several drive-by shootings from Reuters, the mining mandate (an Acosta initiative), the National Forest/spectacled bear scare (Acosta again), yet another indigenous uprising which seems to have fizzled.... so yeah, what's next?

I keep looking for it, but so far nothing. We seem to be on the verge of some sort of resolution, but I'm a wary little bear, so I'll believe it when I see it. Signs look good though, I have to admit. That poll, with 80% support for mining was a big surprise. I would have expected a lower number. Maybe they've grown tired of Peruvians flashing golden smiles as they cruise downtown Quito in their brand new Beamers?
