A few days ago the president Rafael Correa announced his distrust in the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), this being an agency attached to World Bank (see the devil) and, as his concept of sovereignty, this implied a claudication of the same.

nuestro país firmó el convenio de adhesión al Ciadi el 15 de enero de 1986, y este entró en vigor el 14 de febrero del mismo año, esto es, hace algo más de 22 años. Entonces, si podemos elegir qué disputas someter al arbitraje del Ciadi, ¿dónde está la pérdida de soberanía? So if we can choose what to arbitrate disputes ICSID, where is the loss of sovereignty?
Los procedimientos arbitrales han demostrado ser una mecanismo muy eficiente y mundialmente aceptados desde hace algún tiempo.
