NGO'S that are currently fighting mining and endorsing eco-tourism will in 10 years or so be fighting the very thing that they are now advocating.

Ten years from now there won't be any eco-tourism because no one will be able to afford the airfare. Tourism as an industry depends on low airfares, a soon-to-be thing of the past, thanks to peak oil. Any nation that places a high priority on tourism as part of it's future economy better get used to sound of chirping crickets...
