Maybe someone can explain to me re this CONAI rebellion so to speak

These are the indiginous peoples of the area

Are they complaining because they don't get the over riding say on mining because they WANT mining or they REJECT mining?

I assumed the locals wanted mining...

So if they are mad because they don't get the last word, it tells me they don't trust Correa or the government?
