Miners prepare to start going to Carondelet

Dozens of miners have reached the capital of the Republic along with their families to express to the Head of State, Rafael Correa, his rejection of the mining mandate approved by the National Constituent Assembly, ordering revert to the State 80% of concessions mining.

The miners and their families are concentrated in the outskirts of El Arbolito park to begin the march from there to low Carondelet Palace in Independence Square.

Buses of eastern Ecuador, from Portovelo (Gold) are observed in the vicinity of El Arbolito.

The demonstrators will travel the avenue Ten of August toward the city center until Carondelet, where Prime Representative receive from the presidential balcony, reported Citynoticias (89.3 FM in Guayaquil).

The miners asked the President to them generate jobs because they have become unemployed due to foreign mining companies have crippled its activities by the mandate.

The leader of the miners of Zamora Chinchipe, Gladys Ochoa, indicated that have come to Quito to "ask and demand the right to work" because he believes the mandate miners have been hundreds of families without jobs.

Ochoa also was concerned because, in his opinion, the mandate could lead to the departure of Ecuadorians illegally.
