The 180 day freeze on mining activity coincides with the rainy season in Ecuador. I wonder how much productive field work would have been done over this period by Aurelian in any event. A few years ago, Aurelain used to basically shut down most of the field work during the rainy season -- although this appears to have been less true in the last few years.
