I suppose many have read this article in the Globe & Mail.
"Chile typically ranks at or near the top of a Fraser Insttute survey that ranks mining jurisdictions based on policy factors such as regulations and tax regimes. Ecuador was ranked third last of 68 jurisdictions receiving a score of 4.9 out of a 100. on a" policy potential index" that measures overall appeal of a region."
It goes on to mention the current fiasco but I'll bet this survey was done prior to that. Ecuador would probably now rank 68 out of 68 with an average score of 0 out of 100.
