She said they were in the middle of final permitting and believed they would have all their permits by the end of the month when they were blindsided by this last week.
They were have a board meeting today to discuss options.
She said that they will be meeting the govt of Ecuador on Monday to discuss options.
She said there is a reciprocal treaty between Canada and Ecuador related to the protection of investements. They are looking at how they can use this.
She siad that they have discovered that the Ecuador govt has the legal framework to make this suspension.
The biggest concerns of theirs is the 3 concession rule and the fact that the govt is stating no economic compensation for the lost concessions.
