The Canadian ambassador, Mr. Lapointe, will assist as an observer to a meeting scheduled between 8 Canadian companies, the advisor to the President of Ecuador, and other Ministers scheduled for this evening.

Mr. Lapointe is putting the groundwork in place for Prime Minister Harper to call President Correa before the week-end.
