What continues too be loud and clear from major mining companies is they want to operate in politically stable countries.

Canada is really in the sweet spot for natural resources. (sure alberta just raised royalties and we still have to pass environmental assessments, etc) but there is a strong legal system that wont allow short term politicians to steal back an investment.

I was blind sided (Like many I think) when the politics got in the way of this great gold find.

I will wait this one out (like ebear said, we have a longer time frame than the govt of ecuador if we are forced to wait it out) of course we all want to get our return sooner rather than later.

What I have learned is I will be much more intune with govt the next time I make investments in foreign countries and I will likely never again invest in a central american country. certinaly not in ecuador.

I'm still hoping to double my money on this (avg cost now down to 8.10)

I would probably sell half tomorrow at a 40% gain just to lower my political exposure.

I will be on the look out for additional canadian juniors. Maybe we can discuss them on the off topic board
