Something may have happened but it looks like your garden variety bear raid. One entity hit thin bids hard to drive down the price. When nobody countered his move, he got the all clear sign that he could proceed to give it a good whacking and that is what he is doing.
He doesnt seem to be having much luck getting others to panic out and is having to do all the work himself. He did manage to clearly take out the consolodating chart pattern at $9 and paint a sharp downtrend. Everyones a chart watcher theses days.
Well he better watch out or he'll run into a wall of Casey subscribers at $8, and those guys can trample you flat...heh.
