This reminds me, some time ago Marla talked about a blackout period where insiders could not buy/sell. leave the board etc. Perhaps he is just leaving now because he knows that period is approaching.

Clearly he knows within a high degree of certainty whether or not Aurelian will be bought out or attempt to go it alone (not that this will be an option as we are a public company). If going it alone was an option I'm sure Barron would have been convinced to stay on the board. So that leaves a takeover and what would be the point of him waiting around for that.
