all in my opinion, please do your own dd.
special mention to ankeroo.
Have a look at this cross section:
http://www.aurelian.ca/dynamic/media...
These cross section are fun to work with now as intercepts are laid on top of the 43-101 block model.
What you want to see is is a hit over the grey boxes. The grey boxes indicating a gold content not reaching the 2.3 gram cut.
Now in the cross section above, look at the top right portion of the deposit. Pretty much all modelled grey in the 43-101, meaning it contriubuted nothing to the 43-101. Now hole 189 goes right through the heart of this goldless section and reports back 53m of 7.36 grams gold.
Little extensions like this aren't earth shattering but tend to add ounces quickly. For example a 60m by 60m block with 200m strike (100m going both ways) would add 1.9million tonnes. At 7,2 grams you get an additional 451,000 ounces.
Most importantly these are high grade ounces and as hawn pointed out very close to the surface, less than 100m to be exact. Given that we can get high grade rock less than 100m from surface now over the top 400m of the deposit, government permitting, serious consideration may have to be given to stripping the top and going after this in a pit. Would love to get fearlesses take on some possible approaches.

Buck
