It's good that they mention MAC (Mining Association of Canada;) mining companies belonging to MAC must adhere to stringent environemntal guidelines when doing work in foreign countries. I have a copy of an article written awhile ago by Marilyn Scales of CMJ (Canadian Mining Journal and will post it when I find it.  It ws referring to some problems in Africa at the time.
