I suspect the heavy selling in Canada is partly a result of the US markets being closed.  You couldn't get out of your US positions, so you sold Canada.

 I don't recall ever seeing a situation like this, where the US market was closed during a crash.  That's got to be driving them nuts.  No way to hedge now - tomorrows option prices will fully discount this mess and some.  Watch for a few hedge funds to go under.

As tough as it is, I welcome the event.  There is nothing worse than a grinding, drawn out bear market.  Better to get it over with in a hurry and start building a new base.  Tons of bargains in our sector right now.  Hope everyone kept some cash in reserve...LOL!
