Doesn't it seem odd that just these two are being consulted? What happened to Iamgold, Dynasty, Ascendant, etc etc.?

For that matter, why haven't these companies held their own round table discussions? Don't they talk to each other? Isn't there an Association of Foreign Mining Companies that can present their position as a united front?

This whole thing just seems weird to me.
