Spot gold is up $3 in early Monday morning trading in Asia. Short futures are just over $800.
You have to wonder when things are going to break open. We see time and time again that gold opens higher in asia, builds a bit of momentum during our evening hours and then takes a mid-day beating in London and then downward pressure from the US. When those boys and girls from the Fed go home for the day on the east coast things pick back up and are repeated the next day.
After a while you have to wonder why Asian marketes are willing to pay a premium to what they could pick gold for in Europe or the US.
