Could Corriente have made an agreement to sell all of it's copper to China at market rates?
Cheaper for the Chinese than buying CTQ
China needs all the raw materials it can get it's hands on.
In return, perhaps a lot of infrastructure invested in Ecuador, ports, airports etc?
