Yes, thank God for Putin, whose managed to curtail civil liberties, shut down a free press, stifle any opposition parties, grab companies without fairly compensating their owners (how'd you feel if Ecuador grabbed ARU without paying a penny for the shares?) and managed to wipe out 80% of the civilian population of Chechnya. The last few times that anyone's been that successful at genocide they've generally been tried and convicted for crimes against humanity afterwards (think Rwanda, Serbia, and in the last few weeks the trials of various Kmer Rouge leaders in Cambodia).
