I remember when I spoke to Marla the other day, I asked her about the fact that the SP of ARU swings harder than most others in Ecuador. Basically ( not word for word cause I can't remember exactly ) its because ARU is the pinnacle of gold exploration companies in Ecuador, lots more to gain by the flucuation and on the flip side lots more to lose.

I still believe its in the best interest of the big companies to play with the SP and scare some retail guys away, they have an awful lot to gain by doing that. They may lose a few cents on some shares here and there but they are going to gain shares if the retail guy sells and hold on for the long haul.

I do have to admit this is hard on the nerves but I was saying the same thing when the SP was at $24 and we climbed from there. Still nothing concrete from Correa but he isn't a fool and knows the potential for his country if these mines get built and they impose a reasonable royalty. Definitely lots to lose by staying but boy there is an awful lot to gain. I haven't read anything thats been enough to scare me away quiet yet.

By the way, why is it that gold, commoddities and currencies get hammered on a regular basis when there is a holiday etc. and volume is low in the markets ?, almost looks scheduled doesn't it ( now I'm just thinking out loud)
