Aye Captain!

I have just returned from "shoreleave"! and need to come aboard again for the next round of plundering and piliage.....

My wife and I came back last night to the Bay Area, from the Mayan Riveira below Cancun...We had a great vacation of eating, drinking, siteseeing and photographing of the Mayan ruins of Chichen-Itza and Tulum...staying at a 5 star resort called " the Grand Mayan"... the food, service, and resort were fantastic...and the pina coladas kept rolling!

Now I had tried to stay away from all news and computers this trip, so that I was in a little bit of web withdraw when I came back!

I knew about the oil spill in the S.F. bay...

I had seen on T.V. in Mexico that the U.S. market had taken a big dump!

I saw Chavez's thugs shooting protesters in Venezuela....Georgia and Russia getting up in each other's face...

Oil at near $100 ....

Bush rattling sabres about Iran....

Then to find this News article about Ecuador taking back any concessions that aren't being explored or mined!...

Sounds scary at first glance! But as You and Fearless have pointed out, this is probably good news for the mining and exploration companies that are actively working in Ecuador now....

They (and ARU specifically) will have already had dealings with the Government that will give them the edge in trust about their concerns for the people and ecology of Ecuador. ARU's record has been outstanding in this regard, I believe....

So if the government takes back any un-worked mining concessions... ARU could be in a great position to acquire more hot hectares!

...with their operating capital and drill teams already in place...and their community relations with the population...It only makes economic sense for Correa to deal with companies that he is already dealing with, to quicken the mining revenues to Ecuador that he needs! Pronto!

Best Regards to the Captain and Crew,

My cabin and deckchair have been kept in good order I trust...

I'll pick up another of those pina coladas ...and set myself down for another week of "Rape and Plundering"

... then I'll be able to afford the next shoreleave!

Long for Cash
