Well said. We know of the past Reuters releases and timing.
What facts do we know from this release. Very little.
However, we DO know that they are busy discussing mining which is good news. They could have been bogged down with a lot of other items, so this tells me that the mining laws and royalties are a high priority with this government. I would be worried if we just didn't hear anything related to mining from the government for a number of months, but that's not the case.
If Chiriboga is saying he wants contracts similar to the oil companies that tells me a couple of things. 1) That perhaps Chiriboga and staff still aren't up to speed as to the differences between mining and oil. 2) The language difference. Translating directly can change the tone and meaning the orginial passage was meant to relay. 3) I'll give the benefet of doubt to Patrick who has met these guys in person..and has gotten a feel for their direction. 4) Posturing...this is leading up to a draft mining law...one side would prefer no royalties, and the other has to balance that with something high...then they meet in the middle.
We will be the jewel in Ecuadors mining crown. They aren't going to risk b*ggering it up over some outlandish %'s. You have to remember that royalties are just part of the overall tax package the government benefits from. It will add to their coffers in many forms in many layers, as does any mine, in any country.
I think everything that ARU has done so far, puts a feather in our cap with government. We've walked the walk. Put our money where our mouth is. Like a template for successful mining in Ecuador. The government knows all eyes are on ARU. If they screw our concession over-the only mining going on there will be with pans in the rivers.
This can and will be a win/win situation.
We started the process...Correa and Chiriboga will finish it.
Trust.... my friends.
We are sitting on the motherlode. for us the shareholders, for management, for the buyer of FDN, and for the people of Ecuador.
As Fearless said, there are many bashing this stock...for their own reasons. You have to know why YOU are here.... then don't be persuaded otherwise.
You'll have a lifetime to regret it.
Mining Royalties...bring it on.
Long and Strong NO FEAR
