I could be wrong but I believe ARU (the locals) man the drilling rigs. Major drilling being in Ecuador now, just provides better service as far as parts, repairs and support. ARU currently has a minimum of two "Major Drilling" drill rigs on site already...run by locals.

The fact that Major has moved into Ecuador just confirms that mining support companies believe that mining in Ecuador is just about to open up.
