I started buying IPL.UN at $9.00..and it has been dripping ever since..

And KEY and SPB and BNS and MFC and PGF so I don't want any more..

I don't want to get too much stuff in my port..I have enough now and spend a lot of time trying to manage the accounts ..and with the 71 rule approaching (I'm 68),I have a few years to position some stuff now..convert to divvy stuff and move the slackers out.

You have to watch with having RRifs and RRsps ..every year they reassess your RRIF portfolio and you must take a minimum of 7% out each year..I chose monthly payments of $xxx last year and now this year some of the stuff in the RRIF Grew so much I must take $XXXX dollars.out(4xand apposed to $3X the year before,..last month in this case..)so on the 15 xxxx cash has to be available..but if all you holdings are in stocks..there is no cash so they have to liquidate some stuff to make the payment..well they have to do it and you ,if you are not paying attention get your divvy stocks sold off.

so you have to keep enough cash in the account to make your auto payments ,,and you don;t find out until today every year it is the same 3 January you can find out your payout..so you have to be positioned .right..That is why I have all self directed.stuff.

Anyway i am getting a dry throat so I need a lick of "Cure"..A nice big shot of Black Diamond Rum..will be a nice nightcap..
