Forestry Partners Program
Ensuring the sustainability of the growth of industrial activities with a focus on conservation. This is the proposal of the Forestry (PTT), held by ArcelorMittal Forestry, in partnership with farmers to plant eucalyptus trees in the South, the Forest Zone and Mid-West of Minas Gerais. Part of the Belgo Sustainability Program, the initiative will ensure the sustainable supply of charcoal for Belgo.
The PPF has the proposal involve more than 800 small and medium farmers, to produce some 500 cubic meters of charcoal annually. Among the many advantages is the new business
option for producers. Investments are made possible through funding from the program Propflora, with guarantees of the company.
