May 15, 2008 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Amador Gold Corp. (TSX-V: AGX) is now drilling on both their Byers-Loveland and Ajax properties in the productive Timmins ON region. On Tuesday, the company announced that it was in fact expanding both those drill programs.

Amador announced a discovery intercept in late March at their Byers-Loveland Project of 45.0 metres of 0.75% copper and 0.70% nickel, lying some 50 meters below a known resource discovered and outlined by Cominco in the 1970's. The discovery shows that mineralization continues below the Cominco mineralization, and that grades and widths appear to improve at depth.

Following the discovery, Amador ran a large staking campaign and tied up much of the ground between the Byers Loveland property and Xstrata's Montcalm operating mine, 30 km to the west. Amador new drill program aims to increase strike length of their recent discovery. The company will soon be conducting a state-of-the-art VTEM B-field airborne geophysical survey over all their holdings in the area, which will likely generate many new exploration targets. Amador's sister company, Golden Chalice Resources (TSX-V: GCR), successfully employed the VTEM technology in making their Langmuir nickel-PGM discovery of last year.

Amador has several exploration holdings in Ontario, New Brunswick and BC that have potential for base metals, gold, silver, and diamonds. Richard Hughes, president of Amador Gold and noted Canadian mining personality, tells us about the company's pipeline of projects and its busy summer schedule in our new Smartstox interview available at http://www.smartstox.com/interviews/... .

On Wednesday, May 14, 2008, Amador's shares on the TSX Venture Exchange closed up a nickel on the day to close at $0.28.
