Yes, Mr Damas pumps up his so called "credentials" (writing on Seeking Alpha and getting a lot of likes? I guess the bashers on SH must be experts also if that's the measuring stick he uses). Then he proceeds to totally DIScredit himself by bringing up "pirates", guerillas and hijackings. And of course the incredible corruption and having to "pay off" the local tribes. Then the icing on the cake is that worrisome volcano nearby ... (ahem), an inactive volcano, but what the heck, might as well scare the crap out of investors. And of course the cherry on top is the earthquake risk.

So let me take it one step further: Asteroid impact! Yes, he forgot to mention that the Danakil is ripe for an asteroid impact. In fact if he takes enough hallucinogenics, he might just see a huge bullseye when checking out the Dallol depression on Google Earth.
