One other note of interest regarding the number of "reads" on SH. On the old version of SH, hitting the re-load or refresh button on your browser would not increase the number of reads on a post. Even if your refreshed 100 times, the number of reads would only go up by one. This is due to the fact that their old system was recoding individual IP addresses as reads. so reloading would always count as an individual read. With the new version of SH, each reload counts as a read. Think about it: why do some of these idiotic posts get thousands of reads? Why would someone waste their time reloading a message hundreds or thousands of times? Because it's a little more money in their pockets. Simple.
