Completely agree, that something needs to stem the tide of the sliding share price. Although some people on the board have speculated that it could be a variety of reasons or a combination of such, the key thing here is the lack of investor relations.
The small staff at Alda (and we should remember that new people have been hired which means some time before they get up to speed) is probably stretched with fulfilling orders, coordinating manufacturing and shipping. They're probably not used to handling such volume. Dr. Owen is probably concentrating more in solidifying relationships with new retailers and distributors rather than keeping us shareholders apprised.
The falling share price has not disuaded me nor has it motivated me to rethink Alda as an investment. A lot of the gains APH experienced was based on speculation of sales based on the hype of the H1N1 pandemic. While the pandemic has probably slid from the forefront of people's minds, the reality is that personal health and hygiene will never go out of style. I think that the use of hand sanitizer will ingrain itself as a preventative measure to many. There are probably a lot of people who previously did not use hand sanitizers, but now use them on a regular basis. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.
My guess is once the sales numbers fully reflect the robust business that Alda is doing, or perhaps a US retail announcement, that we should see some progress in shareholder value.
A great weekend to all, and best of luck braving the crowded germ and virus laden malls. Make sure you bring your T36 with you to protect yourself and your family. Cheers!
