VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A small company in New Westminster is seeing big gains thanks to the H1N1 and the upcoming 2010 Winter Games.
Alda Pharmaceuticals signed a contract with VANOC to be the official supplier of hand sanitizer for the Olympics. Since July, the company's stock has soared by 600 per cent.
Alda is a 13 year old company with a staff of 10 people. The firm's disinfectants were originally made for hospitals and dental clinics, but it developed the hand sanitizer when H1N1 first emerged in Mexico and the US.
