GM, it is true that some of the stores are independently owned and operated, however, i heard that they all have to go through a centralized purchasing dept. Meaning, they can not pick and choose any supplier, if they are not 'authorized' by shoppers and available through this centralized purchasing area. i may be wrong, but this is the info i was given about 3 to 4 months ago.
