Vancouver's Alda Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSX-V:APH) has signed a vendor agreement with London Drugs Ltd. to sell disinfectant and hand-sanitizing products through the retail chain's 70 stores in Western Canada.

Alda said the agreement is a significant step in the commercial distribution of its products to consumers. First orders have already been shipped, Alda said.

Last month, the company reported that its T36 antiseptic hand sanitizer was effective in killing the H1N1 virus in 15 seconds or less.

In July, the company became an official supplier to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of hand sanitizer and disinfectant cleaning products for the Games.

Alda's share price range during the past week: between $0.38 and $0.365; 52-week high: $0.48; 52-week low: $0.06.
