#1) Are all products going to be manufactured in China? If not, where and by whom?
No, we are still maintaining our manufacturing arrangements in Canada. The Chinese facility is registered for manufacturing in China. It is not registered for manufacturing products for Canada. Our manufacturer in BC is Norwood Packaging in Surrey, BC.
#2) Does APH plan to sell products in the USA? If they do, any timelines when this will occur?
Yes, but the products have to be registered with the EPA for commercial products and the FDA for therapeutic products. It is not possible to provide timelines for such registrations since the registrations are dependent on the approval of government agencies. However, testing of the EPA would likely take a year and registration another year or more. The time frames for the FDA are likely longer but not as long as is required for drugs taken internally or injected.
#3) In July he had a meeting with the FDA in the US, any timelines when any of the various trials will begin?
We are still working on that. It requires an IND (“Investigational New Drug”) application to the FDA and a CTA (“Clinical Trial Application”) to Health Canada.
#4) Do the products that have already been approved to be sold in Canada, still require approval by the European Medicines Agency and the FDA, before they can be sold there?
Yes, and commercial products, such as the T36® Disinfectant Cleaner CONCENTRATE require US EPA approval.
#5) Are there any plans to sell products in Europe? Australia? If so, any timelines when this will occur?
Europe, yes. Australia is not a high priority due to its small population. We will look at it to see if the registration process is worthwhile.
#6) When can we expect another update from Alda?
No schedule has been set yet but we usually publish our year end financials around the end of October. That is a good time for another report.
#7) Status of APH funds for now and future?
The cash position is strong and as of the end of March was approximately $2.5 million. It has not changed much since then due to the exercise of options and warrants.
#8) Considering that the ingredient/method that T36 uses isn't really "new" and has been known for a long time - why is it that other methods became wide spread and common (such as alcohol based cleaners) and products using the alda ingredient didn't become common? Is it a cost factor/issue? Ease of manufacturing? Less effective results? etc. (I know Alda has stated they use several active ingredients to improve efficiency... so maybe that is part of the answer right there... but I'm curious what he'll say).
Sorry I can't recall the name of the ingredient - it obviously would make my question much clearer.
The T36® formulation is new. It is a unique combination of well-known ingredients in relatively low concentrations that act together to very effectively kill all classes of organisms. Patents on the formula and the method of manufacturing have been granted on China, Australia and the US. The T36® formulation has not been as well known for human use because it has never been registered for that application. In the meantime, we are working toward that and until such time as the full T36® formulation is registered for human use, we have the new DIN that does allow limited human use without further testing. This was the quickest way to see a human use approved.
#9) What are the current products that APH currently makes and why are any different from competition?
Please see the website for info on the T36® Disinfectant. See the answer above about the patents. The formulation is safer that competing products.
#10) What is the APH's monthly cash burning rate?
Please refer to the financial statements for the cash flow information. It varies depending on patenting, testing and marketing activities. ALDA has sufficient cash to continue its program of retail, commercial and therapeutic developments.
#11) Any shareholder plan in hand already to avoid a non-friendly take-over give the cheap SP?
No. Somebody would have to buy a lot of shares to gain a control position and everybody would benefit from the resulting increase in the share price if someone was foolish enough to take that approach. Remember that anyone, individual or corporation that beneficially owns 10% (5 million shares)or more becomes an “insider” and has to report all trades and anyone who owns 20% (20 million) or more becomes a “control person” and has to announce all trades 7 days in advance. Anybody buying 5 to 10 million shares is going to be noticed.
#12) What are the Company's current means of promoting their Company to investors?
Freeform Communications Inc. handles all of our IR requirements. We have also sold shares in private placements to influential buyers who advise their followers who have made money on their picks.
#13) Was any party, such as TechnicalBuy been compensated for promoting this stock?
No. Technical Buy is a totally independent individual.
#14) How many shares are currently held by insiders out of the current 49.9M?
Approximately 5 to 6 million. I don’t really keep track that closely. We hold enough to be very committed.
#15) In summary why do you think an investor should invest in APH?
APH’s fundamentals have not changed since it was trading at $1.50. Since those days, energy prices have risen, the sub-prime mortgage crunch is taking hold, the summer is always slow and there is a presidential election in progress in the US. I have been in the market for 21 years and almost every year I have sent the market fall in the summer, rise in the fall, fall in the winter and rise in the spring. That is one thing I can almost guarantee and you can make money on it. APH has a broad range of products in progress, there is an achievable business plan in place and we are putting the pieces in place just like building a stone wall. The R&D is done, the technology is proven but people are bored and are looking for the next hot deal. Warren Buffet says buy on good fundamentals and hold a long time. People participating in the Vancouver market have a very short attention span. That is one reason we are pursuing the US listing.
