Shorters do not care about fundamentals. All they do is watch for the way a company is trading and when they find one ripe for shorting they pounce on it fast and furious. I just don't think that we have a large enough following yet to put up much of a counter attack. That will all change soon enough. Until then, be prepared for this to happen again. The day traders who come in and out and the panic sellers make the shorters job easier as well.
The fundamentals of this Company have not changed, except to get better. If you are long, then no worries here. This type of event is all part of the weird and wonderful world of the stock market. You need an iron will to stay long at times; but I find it much less stressful than day trading or shorting. If you believe in this Company as I do then I would buy on these dips if you can and pick a pretty high number to eventually make the big sell. Although taking some profits along the way does help one sleep better.
I believe that we have found a quality Company in a time when the markets can sometimes be a very unnerving place. Alda has nothing to do with trying to find that rich gold vein or huge nickel deposit; because in their own way, they already have.
