ALDA Satisfied With First T36(R) Samples Made in China

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) -

 ALDA Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:APH) ("ALDA")

has received the first samples of T36(R) Disinfectant that were prepared in China by He-Yi She Ye Limited ("He-Yi"). Quality control analyses conducted for ALDA by an independent laboratory in Vancouver revealed that the "Made in China" formulation requires only a simple reduction in the concentration of one of the active ingredients to meet all of the required specifications. Pilot-scale manufacturing can now proceed as soon as the manufacturing facility is ready. The objective is to have the facility in operation as soon as possible so that T36(R) products can be on the market in China prior to 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
