Mike has been involved in the HVAC and building control industry for over 15 years and is a recognized expert in building indoor air quality.Working closely with major building controls companies as well as codes and standards regulatory bodies, Mike has been instrumental in the rapid growth of CO2 sensors for ventilation control and energy savings in buildings.In the past five years the market has grown from zero to over $60 million (US$) annually, and is growing at a rate of 30% per year.

Mike has authored over 50 articles and papers on energy savings technologies, indoor air quality and building science.Through his efforts, ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) have modified their Standards to include demand control ventilation through use of CO2 sensors.

For the past 8 years Mike has headed Sales and Marketing for another manufacturer of CO2 sensors.During this period Mike led his former company to a 50% share of the North American market and increased their sales of CO2 equipment more than 8 times their sales level when he started directing sales for that company.*
