Philippine Property Manager Assists Clients with Energy Savings
Initiative

VANCOUVER, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) is pleased to announce that its distributor, Smartcool SEA Pte. Ltd., based in Makati City, has signed a marketing agreement with CB Richard Ellis Philippines, Inc. ('CBRE'). As part of the agreement, CBRE will recommend the use of Smartcool's innovative energy reduction technologies and assist Smartcool with the introduction and deployment of these technologies within their expanding managed property portfolio in this region.

'Commercial buildings are one of the biggest culprits globally in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and this is no different in this part of the world,' stated David Verlee, CEO of Smartcool SEA Pte. Ltd. 'The proven technologies that Smartcool has developed provide an excellent economic solution that meets the requirements of commercial building managers to control building costs for its clients and reduce the size of their carbon footprint. The portfolio that CBRE currently manages provides us with a significant opportunity in this region.'

'Our distributor in the Philippines is making significant inroads in their region and this agreement with CBRE, a globally recognized name, is a clear indication that our energy efficiency solutions are being marketed very well,' added George Burnes, President and CEO of Smartcool Systems Inc. 'Our clients have indicated that reduction in energy consumption and carbon emissions are important but ultimately it is the quick return on investment provided by Smartcool's solutions, usually around twenty four months, that allows them to commit capital to a retrofit program.'
