Silvercorp Reports Independent Mineral Resource Estimates on Silvertip Silver-Lead-Zinc Property in Northern British Columbia, Canada

Silvercorp Metals Inc. (the "Company") (TSX:SVM)(NYSE:SVM) is pleased to report the results of an updated National Instrument ("NI") 43-101 Technical Report with an effective date of June 27, 2012, prepared by Golder Associates Ltd. ("Golder") on the Silvertip silver-lead-zinc property in Northern British Columbia, Canada (the "Silvertip 2012 Technical Report"). Previous mineral resource estimates were completed internally by Silvercorp staff or independent consultants.
