Wireless communications system hailed a success

AN OPEN pit coal mine in the U.S has posted outstanding results with the ActiveMine wireless communications system to monitor its equipment and mine production.
The Wyoming coal mine adopted the ActiveMine system to replace its current wireless communications network.
According to mine management, the system provides reliable, high-quality service along the entire span of its 8km conveyor belt system the complete 29km mine span.
ActiveMine enables two-way voice and data communications, as well as the continuous monitoring of mine production, personnel and equipment in all types of surface and underground mining environments.
The system operates on a 100% wireless network and uses open-standards technology for optimum communication.
The system has been received with great success and is now being marketed for use in coal and hard rock mines as far away as China.
ActiveMine is a joint product of Active Control Technology and MeshDynamics, and is now available in Australia.
