Coal mining safety guidance released in China

State Administration of Work Safety and State Administration of Coal Mine Safety recently released the Guidance of Coal mining Safety, saying those mines that are not qualified to the standard should be closed.
The safety guidance pointed out that the current standard of coal-mining safety is staying at a low level and vary in different places, which, therefore is unsuitable for development under the new situation.
According to the guidance, by the end of 2012, 95% of large scale mines, 80% of medium size mines and 60% of small size mines should be qualified to the new standard under the safety guidance.
The guidance requests all the coal producing provinces and coal mines to work out plan and arrange their production accordingly to achieve the safety target. The guidance said the mines that are not qualified to the standard should be closed promptly.
